Sarah Moran recently relocated to Evanston, IL from Seattle, WA where she resided for the past five years. Sarah has been an active performer in the Northwest having appeared as a soloist with Tacoma Opera, Opera Pacifica and Kitsap Opera. With these companies Sarah sang roles including Sophie in Massenet’s Werther, The Dew Fairy and the Sandman in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, Luigia in Donizetti’s Viva La Mamma, and the Shepherd in Puccini’s Tosca. Sarah’s other operatic roles include Dorine in Mechem’s Tartuffe, No.1 in Susa’s Trasforamtions, Laetita in Menotti’s The Old Maid and the Thief, and Romilda in Handel’s Serse. Sarah’s concert engagements have included soprano soloist in the 2006 performance Handel’s Messiah with the Tacoma Symphony, Mozart’s C-Minor Mass with the University of Washington Symphony Orchestra and Mendelssohn’s Midsummer Night’s Dream with the Brevard Music Center Orchestra. In 2008 Sarah will make her debut performance with Opera Quad Cities as the Contessa Ceprano in Verdi’s Rigoletto. She will also return to Elgin, Il in May 2008 as the soprano soloist in Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass and the Schubert’s Mass in G with the Elgin Choral Union. |
